FAQ

How Is Payment Handled?

Once we begin the visit, my goal is for you to be able to focus on your pet and your family. Many families prefer to complete paperwork and payment ahead of time. so everything is taken care of in advance. This can be easily arranged by email or text. If you prefer, we can also take care of everything together when I arrive-whatever feels most comfortable for you. I accept cash, check, Venmo as and can also accept credit card if needed.

Do You Treat Exotic Pets?

I currently only treat dogs and cats for home euthanasia service.

Do You Accept Insurance?

Please contact your insurance provider to discuss coverage for services.

Are You Available In My Area?

I provide in-home service throughout Clarion and the surrounding areas, typically within about a 1 hr to 1 hr 15 minute drive. I may be able to travel farther depending on my schedule and the urgency of your pet's needs-please don't hesitate to reach out even if you are outside this area. There is no travel fee within my standard service area. For locations beyond that, a travel fee may apply, which will always be discussed with you in advance so there are no surprises. Whenever possible, I recommend reaching out as early as you can so we have the most flexibility with scheduling.

How Will I Know If It Is Time?

You know your pet best, and many families have a sense when something has changed. This decision is never easy, but there area some gentle signs that can help guide you. You may begin to notice changes such as: *More bad days than good *Decreased appetite or interest in food *Loss of bladder or bowel control *Less interest in family, play, or favorite activities *Reduced mobility or difficulty getting comfortable *Signs of pain, such as restlessness, panting, or a hunched posture Often, it comes down to quality of life-whether your pet is still able to enjoy the things that once made them happy. If you are unsure, you don't have to make the decision alone. I'm always available to talk through your pet's condition and help you determine what feels right for your family. You may also find it helpful to review the Quality of Life Scales and literature available in the Resources section of this webiste.

What If My Pet Is Aggressive?

If your pet is nervous around unfamiliar people, has a history of aggression, or you have any concerns about safety, please let me know ahead of time. We can work together to create a plan that keeps everyone safe while minimizing stress for your pet. In many cases, simple adjustments or pre-visit medications can make the experience much calmer and more comfortable. My goal is always to approach your pet with patience, care, and respect, and to ensure the visit is as peaceful as possible for both your pet and your family.
